Mesh 2008: Canada’s Web Conference
On Wednesday and Thursday of last week, Canadian based journalists, bloggers, angel investors, venture capitalists and web entrepreneurs met at the MaRS Discovery District for Mesh ’08; Canada’s ‘Web Conference’. Mesh is one of those rare events that bring together business minds, the tech savvy and those who are just plain interested in emerging opportunities on the net. I have to tip my hat to Stuart MacDonald, Mike McDerment, Matthew Ingram, Rob Hyndman and Mark Evans, who have been organizing this conference for the past three years now. Canada has a vibrant and growing Internet Community and events like these are not just desirable; they are imperative. A few of our team members were able to participate this year and we were all rejuvenated by the excitement and energy of the Canadian web community. Thanks go out to all the organizers, volunteers and attendees for an incredible couple of days. Great job guys!
