When we started CommunityLend we all agreed that we would do lending differently than the traditional banks in a number of important ways. One of those ways was that we would quickly respond to the feedback of our customers on ways to improve our website and processes.
When we launched Canada’s only peer to peer lending service last month we were graced with a lot of activity on the site and also a lot of feedback from people that we knew and people we didn’t know about improvements we could make to the service.
We listened to all of that feedback and today, four weeks after our launch, you are seeing the first two improvements we have made to the site based on that feedback.
- The first is a brand new home page. Much of the feedback we received on our launch homepage was related to the length of the page (seems people don’t like to scroll if they don’t have to) and to navigation (being clearer about where to click to get what).
- The second is a brand new borrower process. Our launch borrower process had to balance between being easy and convenient to use but also taking borrowers through the important and necessary steps to validate identity and to properly assess credit. We certainly received a lot of feedback on ways to improve the former which we were able to do rather quickly in a new, hopefully more clear and streamline, process for borrowers.
