What is CommunityLend? CommunityLend is exactly what it sounds like. An online community where people can lend money directly to other people in a safe and secure way. It is an exciting and unique lending service for Canadians that will revolutionize the way lending works in Canada.
We are not a bank, in fact, we believe that we’re a better alternative. We are the facilitators of a lending community whose sole purpose is to give its members a better deal than they could otherwise get from a traditional financial services company. Lenders can get better returns on their hard earned money and borrowers can get lower interest rates on loans and more flexible payment options. Everybody wins and the returns are kept in the community. That’s just the start. CommunityLend is so much more still.
We are moving full speed ahead to make our beta launch available for late 2008 with regulatory work, technical development, and market planning all underway.

Hi,
I hope all is going well. I am Martin and work on the promotion of a few my personal websites. While looking for relevant material I came across http://blog.communitylend.com and found it really impressive. I would like to do business with you. I basically have an offer of buying text-links on your site.
Let me know if you would be interested in hearing more.
Warm regards,
Martin

Hi I have been tracking this company since last year and remember quite clearly that your launch date was supposed to be late this year, realistically speaking that will not be happening.
So when will the launch actually happen. You should try to keep people as updated as possible.

@Bob … thanks for stopping by. We are still here and launch info soon.

I’d love an update as well!

@Brandon – Don’t you know that a ‘quiet period’ is in effect? CommunityLend is our ‘decider’ in this situation, we just have to passively take whatever they give us. Your desire to be an informed consumer is irrelevant.

@Vlad et al …. we are still here and very close. We are dealing with multiple peoples timelines, and we are getting there.

Very close, or “in the next few years” close? I have been following the progress on this since it was announced what feels like this time last year, but progress seems to have halted..
Getting impatiently anxious!

@Ned – well thanks for your patience. We will get there.

Part of the frustration is that your launch process shows a total contempt for your potential customers. For a business calling themselves “Community” lend, the lack of communication is really surprising. The silence is deafening, in fact…
@Ned – It has been *much* longer than a single year, I have been following CommunityLend for at least two years. Profoundly sad.

@anon – you are quite right – it has been 2 years. The fact we cannot discuss the progress is a reality of the nature of the regulation process. Once complete all that will be clear.
